Properties: Methyl isobutylmethanol is a colorless and transparent stable liquid with a slightly pungent odor, toxic, slightly soluble in water, and miscible with most organic solvents.

Uses: Methyl isobutyl methoxide (MIBC) is an excellent solvent in the fields of dyes, petroleum, rubber, resin, paraffin, nitrocellulose, paint, etc. It can also be used as organic synthetic raw materials and ore flotation foaming agents.

Precautions:

Health hazard: exposure to high concentrations of methyl isobutyl alcohol, causing dizziness and fainting, liquid contact, burning eyes, irritating the skin; long-term exposure to methyl isobutyl methoxide, dry skin; inhalation of vapor to stimulate eyes, nose ,throat. Eye contact: rinse with water. Skin contact: rinse with water. Inhalation: Remove victim to fresh air and perform artificial respiration. Ingestion: Give plenty of salt water, induce vomiting (except for comatose patients), and seek medical attention. When using methyl isobutyl alcohol, care should be taken to wear the correct protective equipment.
